Welcome to the Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area (FFNHA) management plan webpage!
The completion of a general management plan is one of the National Park Service requirements for all new National Heritage Areas. This plan is being completed as a follow-up to the Feasibility Study that was completed several years ago as part of the National Heritage Area designation process. The FFNHA management planning process kicked off in February 2008 and is scheduled to be completed by February 2009. The completed management plan will serve as a guide or a “partnership handbook” for the administration, development, management and preservation of historic, cultural and natural assets in this region by FFNHA over the next decade. Your feedback on the items listed below will be critical to help shape the plan during this year-long process. Participating in the monthly Partnership Team meetings is a great way to learn more about what is going on and to share your ideas. Be sure to check back on this website as well to learn more about where we are in the planning process.
